About Us (FullWidth)

In early 2020, we kicked off our collaboration with Aerie, a leader in inclusive and body-positive retail marketing.

Aerie interviewed our former co-founders, Marta Elena Cortez-Neavel and Dr. Julie Sanchez, about their motivations for starting the brand (now sold at Aerie.com). After the collab went viral – selling out of products like the Insulin Pump Belt multiple times – we knew we were on to something big. 

In the past year, we've outgrown our own plans, and made the decision to branch off into two companies. The new Abilitee will move forward under designer Marta Elena, while Dr. Sanchez will focus on her new pediatric brand, Spoonie Threads.
